Ms. Piper Faulk

Adjunct Instructor of Dance

Piper Faulk is a professionally trained choreographer and instructor. She received world classical
training at the San Francisco Ballet School. Piper also continuously trained in many styles over the
years, learning from and working with accomplished instructors from companies such as Alvin
Ailey, Paul Taylor, Anna Halprin, Mark Morris, Bill T. Jones, Vaganova, Broadway, Dance
Theater of Harlem, Paris Opera Ballet, and many more, all while developing her ability to teach,
explore, and choreograph in different genres. She received her degree from the University of
Davis in Dramatic Arts with a Dance Emphasis. Piper has taught pre-professional and
professional students, competitive and recreational students, and children through young adults.
She enjoys teaching many styles of dance including ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, tap,
musical theater, and partner dance.

Piper is passionate about choreography and dance history as well as teaching. As a teacher
and choreographer, she is dedicated to serving the community in which she lives and inspiring
future artists and dancers to fulfill their dreams. Piper feels the expansive history of dance
brings an ability to understand different cultures, communities, and time-periods. She loves
including the history of styles and movements and vocabulary in her classes. The verve
and joy she brings to the classroom inspires a love for all things dance, while her focus
on technique and creativity inspires a new generation of professionally trained dance artists.
